Problem and Solution
People combine conservatism and a craving for innovation. Wanting to sleep better, people don't want to sleep anywhere but on their familiar mattresses. But mattresses, which create familiar comfort, have no mechanisms to influence people's senses to fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly, and beds, which are mattress supports, have no mechanism at all, except that they squeak under load, causing laughter or irritation.
The development of technology has not changed the problem with sleep: adults continue to sleep badly on their usual fixed beds, their number only grows over time.
Dreaming of sleeping like babies in the figurative sense - to fall asleep quickly, to sleep without waking up, to wake up rested, full of energy - adults did not think about the real possibility of such a dream.
Problem and Solution
Babies and adults sleep in different ways: babies in rocking beds and adults on still beds.
We decided to gently lull adults like babies in rocking cradles, simultaneously with pleasant relaxing music or special sound influence and visual influence for fast falling asleep. The result is a multisensory effect - vestibular, tactile (accompanying vestibular) and audiovisual, more pleasant than shaking in transportation, but acting on the user more effectively.
Similarly, we created a comfortable multisensory experience for the user's sound sleep by eliminating breath-holding as a major cause of spontaneous awakening through Bedy Active Breath's vestibular breath stimulation technology, and increasing the duration of N3 deep slow-wave sleep to improve cognitive performance and memory.
In addition, we decided to create a comfortable multi-sensory experience for pleasant relaxation and rest of the user under sensory control without falling asleep, and for the user's sexual relationship.
From a functional point of view, we expanded the list of senses that are affected to achieve sleep, relaxation or sensual pleasure. We have added to the standard audiovisual stimulation (AVS) of vision and hearing, vestibular stimulation and the accompanying touch stimulation of the user.
Physiologically, everyone, or almost everyone, is ready for this - it happened early in life, and it was so pleasurable that once triggered the hormonal mechanism of pleasure hormone production continues to operate. Proof of the above is the love of people of all ages for rocking furniture: rocking chairs, recliners and home swings sell millions of pieces every year.
We didn't change anything about the mattress design because it's not our business, leaving the choice up to the user. We envisioned that the mattress could be plain flat or packed with sensors, with adjustable shape, temperature or firmness or anything else.
We have significantly changed the mattress support - the bed itself - by equipping it with a moving substrate to which the mattress is attached. Because there is no other way to influence the user's vestibular apparatus than to give it acceleration.
